yes, they are aware of what is happening in gaza and the west bank (today's palestinian areas), but they can't do anything. i especially see hanni, who really wants to spread the word, to share about the ongoing genocide (and beyond), but is angry that she can't do anything (considering the girls' situation). the other 4 girls have similar opinions and feelings. they seem to be monitoring the situation there, especially now that they have more time.
