i don't see a drastic change in either the saudi film industry or the festival in question. it'll stay at least the same but it won't fall down.

Now it has been confirmed by several readers that Hollywood will collapse and become irrelevant in the future. There are rumours that Saudia Arabia will take over the film industry. They have this festival called „red sea international film festival“ which aims to become something like the Cannes festivals. Now what SA is basically doing is - since they have tons of money - giving the actors/ actresses, producers, anyone significant who works in film lots of money so they attend the red sea film festival. I am always a little skeptical when it comes to simply buying people with money. I mean look at Dubai, China, hell even that one wedding by this indian billionaire. They lure all kinds of people who have a name in the industry with money but nothing really creative or big establishes from there… Like money does not seems to do that for you.

So how do you see the future of Saudia Arabia film industry? And will the red sea international film festival become significant in the future?
